Liverpool Sports Clinic

Liverpool Sports Clinic is a full service sports clinic for rehabilitation and prehab to keep you doing what you love.

Whether it is injury or illness preventing you or a sports related injury, Liverpool Sports Clinic can offer invasive and non-invasive treatments to help you get back to being active. Their consultants range from sports therapists and physiotherapists to Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons who will arrange the tests required to give you a quick diagnosis. They can then discuss treatment options with you and help you choose the best possible care.

Liverpool Sports Clinic is a specialist Field Sports clinic with particular interest in outdoor pursuits. Embracing the great outdoors means not only health benefits but also promotes healthy decisions. Physically, sport helps you lose weight and stay active. Regular exercise also boosts self-confidence and mental concentration. Being fit is important; enhancing co-ordination, agility and cardiovascular fitness.
We have a keen focus on keeping the over 50’s involved in sport and promoting women in sport as both groups have difficulty maintaining sporting links.

Most musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are easily treatable and the sooner you visit a clinician the more likely you are to recover. In fact being treated quickly reduces the chances of an acute problem becoming chronic. The Liverpool Sports Clinic has everything you need to help you get the most from your treatment.

Simon Scott 
Mr Simon Scott, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon has been trained extensively in all aspects of orthoapedic surgery since he qualified in 1992. He can offer advice, guidance and injections to assist your recovery. Simon specialises in hip, knee and trauma surgery with vast experience in primary total hip and knee replacements, hip resurfacing, partial knee replacements and revision hip and knee replacements with an interest in minimally invasive procedures.

He completed higher surgical training in Merseyside and a one year specialist fellowship in Australia. Mr Scott attained a Masters degree in orthopaedic engineering from the University of Wales in Cardiff.

He takes an active part in research, teaching and training. He is the clinical director of orthopaedic surgery at Aintree University Hospital.

 

Thomas Khan
Thomas is a qualified sports therapist and a member of the Society of Sports Therapists with qualifications in rock taping. He has always been involved in sport from a young age and excelled in sports to a high standard include football, sprinting, squash, cricket and basketball. Offering comprehensive diagnosic and treatment for injuries preventing the participation of sports, Thomas Khan

Thomas is the first line of treatment when you are prevented from doing what you love.

 

 

Sophie

Sophie Morris
Sophie is a 25 year old Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga instructor. She trained to be an instructor in India at Kranti Yoga, in November 2016. She has also been horse riding since the age of 9 and has competed in young riders with pony club at the National Showjumping Championships. More recently she has turned to dressage and is currently training her horse at Advanced Medium level.

She has a real passion for the outdoors and an active lifestyle and enjoys guiding new students through her Vinyasa yoga classes, helping to bring them strength, stability and focus. She believes that through consistent practice of yoga, you can get more out of your body, however old you are or whatever injuries you are working with. You can learn to stretch yourself into places you thought impossible and find your body adapting to movement with ease.

 

Inigo Dunkley Inigo Dunkley
Inigo is a Personal Trainer, Hatha Yoga and Pilates instructor, specialising in teaching exercises that help develop stronger core function, better posture, improved mobility and body awareness.  He also teaches meditation that aims to improve mental focus, reduce stress and cultivate a state of inner peace.

His many years of experience in the health and fitness industry is varied.  Alongside modern training techniques, he has also spent years practising the traditional arts of Qi Gong and Kung Fu, as well as learning the teachings of the Patanjali Yoga Sutras with Vedic scholars.”

 

Kate Searchfield
Kateis a Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapis. She specializes in core fitness and the Pilates Method and has completed the internationally recognised STOTT PILATES® full certification as an instructor. Recently she has completed the NO HANDS massage full immersion training. Kate has specialized in the areas of women’s fitness, athletic conditioning and rehabilitation.

Kate believes in the holistic approach to health and fitness and it has taken her all over the world as a fitness professional and massage therapist.  She has uses her in-depth knowledge on how the body works and her worldwide experience to create a safe, welcoming and inspiring environment. Clients can either totally relax or be completely energized or both!

Kate also runs classes for pre and post natal mums and babies. Children’s pilates and schools.

1pm – 7pm Friday 26th May
8am – 5pm Saturday 27th May

FREE ENTRY for everyone, even if you are not running any of the Rock n Roll Races – just turn up, no tickets required and no need to pre-register interest.
